Job summary

Diversified Services Network, Inc. in Chillicothe, IL is seeking a full-time Quality/Test Engineer to strengthen our manufacturing quality program.

You will perform quality assurance and on-machine testing for heavy equipment, and validate electrical systems on machines. Requirements include a bachelor’s in mechanical or electrical engineering (or master’s with 6 months of related testing experience) and the ability to interpret machine electrical schematics for troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering with 2 years of related validation experience.
• Alternative: Master’s degree with 6 months of related validation experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality assurance and testing for heavy equipment such as excavators and tractors.
• Interpret machine electrical schematics for troubleshooting and testing.
• Conduct on-machine testing and electrical system validation.
• Identify issues and prioritize actions to reduce warranty costs.

Job Responsibilities:

• Work on quality assurance and testing for grade machines such as excavators, tractors, motor graders, pavers, and tractor scrapers.
• Evaluate dealer and customer complaints from warranty. Interpret machine electrical schematics for troubleshooting and testing.
• Perform on-machine testing and validation; electrical system validation activities on machines.
• Identify engineering issues, investigate causes, and establish priorities for resolution to improve quality and reduce warranty costs.

Job Requirements:

• Requires a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or related field and 2 years of experience with electronic/electrical system validation activities on machines including interpreting machine electrical schematics for troubleshooting and testing.
• Alternatively, will accept master’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or related field and 6 months of experience with electronic/electrical system validation activities on machines including interpreting machine electrical schematics for troubleshooting and testing.

Compensation: $37.13 per hour
