Job summary

Zebra Technologies is seeking a part-time Quality Technician for 2nd shift in Hauppauge, NY. You will support the manufacturing function with QA activities to prevent nonconforming products from shipping, performing inspections and contributing to process improvements to sustain quality.

What We're Looking For

Job Summary: The Quality Technician team is responsible for supporting the manufacturing function with QA activities to ensure nonconforming products are not produced and shipped to customers. This position will assist with inspection and process improvements to sustain and improve product quality.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provides audits and inspections on product quality according to Zebra’s quality-assurance processes.
• Conducts nonconforming materials investigation and may report to Zebra’s authorized vendors as appropriate.
• Escalates and/or engages management as required for assistance in addressing new or complex issues.
• Ability to understand specific technical requirements, delivering output following broad framework.
• Other research or related activities as deemed as necessary.

Incentive Compensation

In addition to base pay, Zebra offers this role the opportunity to earn a performance-based annual cash incentive, at a target equal to 3% of base pay, in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
