Job summary

CS Power Systems, a fast-growing division of Canadian Solar, is seeking a Quality Technician to ensure the quality and reliability of solar cells, raw materials, and components. You will perform inspections, test materials, document results, and support issue resolution in IQC, OQC, IPQC, or reliability areas within a safe, ISO-aligned environment.

You will follow SOPs, calibrate tools, report defects, and collaborate across departments to prevent defects and improve processes.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Electrical Technology, Materials Science, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum 3 years in quality control within manufacturing, preferably in solar cell fabrication or renewable energy.
• Quality certifications (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Technician) or metrology/reliability training are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to SOPs, safety protocols, ISO 9001, and quality policies.
• Document test results, inspection data, and non-conformities in quality systems.
• Report defects or equipment issues to the QC Supervisor promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness and calibration of tools and equipment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality concerns.
• Assist in training and process improvements in the assigned QC area.
