Howmet Aerospace Inc. in Hampton, Virginia is seeking a Quality Technician to prepare QA shipping documents, analyze data for quality improvements, and assist in root cause analysis for customer issues. The role supports plant leadership and manufacturing teams to achieve manufacturing excellence.

The ideal candidate has five years of related experience in engineering or manufacturing, strong data analysis skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. U.S. work authorization is required.

Competenze

• Five years of related experience and/or training in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and comprehend detailed operating instructions, safety rules, procedural manuals, and write routine reports.
• Standard mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using all units of measure, whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Must be able to function using Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Excel programs.
• Employee must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
• This position entails access to export-controlled items and employment offers are conditioned upon an applicant's ability to lawfully obtain access to such items.

Mansioni

• Use various software tools to submit product deviations to customers for approval.
• Compile necessary information to create the shipment packages for various product lines.
• Assist the Quality Engineer in root cause analysis for any customer issues or escapes.
• Complete product reviews for any major customer issues before product shipments.
• Conduct internal auditing in various departments and processes to verify the correct procedures are being followed.
• Complete monthly routing card organization for long-term record retention.
• Must comply with all company attendance policies and guidelines; this includes, but is not limited to, regular attendance and occasional overtime (specifically during end-of-month shipments).
• Follow Howmet's Safety Regulations and Work Rules Handbook along with all department specific safety requirements.
