Job summary

Plastipak is seeking a Quality Technician to ensure customer specifications and our high standards are met across plastic container R&D operations. You will join a team focused on producing the best quality packaging in the industry.

You will conduct in-process and finished-product quality inspections, use measuring instruments, and collaborate with colleagues to maintain quality processes and lead continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of quality experience in a manufacturing or R&D environment.
• Working knowledge of quality control methods & approaches.
• Attention to detail and excellent documentation skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate issues and solutions in a clear and professional manner.

Responsibilities

• Conduct quality inspections of in-process product & finished plastic containers in the lab, on the production floor & in the warehouse to evaluate product quality.
• Use measuring instruments to measure dimensions & performance criteria's adherence to customer specifications.
• Regularly engage with Associates about product conformance.
• Grow your knowledge & skills through a wide-variety of training & on-the-job experiences.
• Partner with customers, suppliers, and internal partners to develop and maintain quality processes, educate associates, resolve issues, and lead continuous improvement activities.
