Job summary

Plastipak is seeking a Quality Technician to ensure customer specifications and our high quality standards are met across plastic container R&D operations. You will inspect in-process and finished products, measure dimensions, and engage with associates to maintain conformance.

You will collaborate with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to educate staff, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives while growing your knowledge through diverse on-the-job experiences.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of quality experience in manufacturing or R&D environments.
• Working knowledge of quality control methods & approaches.
• Attention to detail and strong documentation skills.
• Ability to clearly communicate issues and solutions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct quality inspections of in-process product and finished plastic containers in the lab, on the production floor, and in the warehouse to evaluate product quality.
• Use measuring instruments to measure dimensions and performance criteria against customer specifications.
• Regularly engage with associates about product conformance.
• Grow knowledge through training and on-the-job experiences.
• Partner with customers, suppliers, and internal partners to develop and maintain quality processes, educate colleagues, resolve issues, and lead continuous improvement activities.

As a Quality Technician, you ensure customer specifications & our company high standards of quality are met throughout our plastic container research & development operations. You’ll join our team of collaborative associates focused on producing the best quality packaging in the industry.

You Will

• Conduct quality inspections of in-process product & finished plastic containers in the lab, on the production floor & in the warehouse to evaluate product quality
• Use measuring instruments to measure dimensions & performance criteria’s adherence to customer specifications
• Regularly engage with Associates about product conformance
• Grow your knowledge & skills through a wide-variety of training & on-the-job experiences
• Partner with customers, suppliers, and internal partners to develop and maintain quality processes, educate associates, resolve issues, and lead continuous improvement activities

You Have

• Minimum of one year of Quality experience in a manufacturing or R&D environment
• Working knowledge of quality control methods & approaches
• Attention to detail and excellent documentation skills
• Ability to effectively communicate issues and solutions in a clear and professional manner
