Aerospace Manufacturing
The Opportunity
We're hiring a Quality Technician to support the quality systems side of a precision aerospace manufacturing operation.
While the role carries the Quality Technician title, this position is more focused on quality systems, internal auditing, corrective action, and calibration than traditional dimensional inspection.
We're looking for someone who understands how a quality management system works and can help ensure the operation remains compliant with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 requirements.
What You'll Be Doing
Internal Auditing
- Perform and support internal quality audits
- Evaluate processes for compliance with established procedures and quality requirements
- Identify gaps, nonconformances, and opportunities for improvement
- Document audit findings and communicate results to appropriate personnel
- Follow up on corrective actions to ensure issues are properly addressed
CAPA & Root Cause Analysis
- Support Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) activities
- Investigate quality issues and nonconformances
- Participate in root cause analysis
- Use appropriate problem-solving tools to determine why issues occurred
- Help develop and track corrective actions
- Verify that corrective actions are effective and prevent recurrence
You should be able to explain the root cause tools you've actually used, rather than simply having CAPA listed on a resume.
Calibration & Measurement Systems
- Support the facility's calibration program
- Maintain accurate calibration records
- Help monitor calibration schedules and status
- Understand why measuring equipment must be calibrated and what can happen when equipment is out of calibration
- Help ensure inspection and measurement equipment remains suitable for use
- Assist with investigating potential impact when calibration issues are identified
Quality Systems Support

- Support compliance with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 requirements
- Work with Quality, Production, Engineering, and other departments to resolve quality issues
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and reduce recurring problems
- Support continuous improvement initiatives

- Experience working within a manufacturing quality environment
- Experience with internal auditing
- Experience with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100
- Experience participating in CAPA/corrective action

If you've actually conducted an ISO/AS9100 audit, worked through CAPA, or managed calibration - and can explain what you did and why it mattered, we'd like to talk with you.
