Job summary

Xylem seeks a Night Shift Quality Technician for the DuBois, PA facility. The role ensures quality initiatives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and supports cross-functional teams to maintain product quality.

The incumbent will perform routine inspections, build inspection reports, and participate in root cause analyses, 5S, and safety meetings, on a 2-2-3 night schedule.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• ASQ certification a plus.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Fluent in Microsoft Word/Excel.
• Ability to read technical drawings.
• Ability to use precision measurement tools and equipment.
• Can work independently with minimal supervision and follow written directions.
• Works well with others in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Gain understanding of product design, including materials and manufacturing requirements, with cross-functional teams.
• Develop and maintain inspection reports.
• Conduct routine quality inspections and analyze data.
• Perform product audits.
• Identify improvements in quality control processes.
• Facilitate Root Cause Analysis for internal concerns or customer returns.
• Support product Quality Engineers to achieve objectives.
• Participate in 5S projects and safety meetings.

In this role, the Quality Technician will be responsible for ensuring quality initiatives are met in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The night shift hours are 6:00 P.M. to 6:00 A.M. on a 2-2-3 schedule.
