Job summary

The Toro Company is seeking a Lead Quality Technician in the West Salem area to supervise a small team, coordinate tasks, and drive continuous improvement. You will maintain the skills matrix, participate in design reviews, and ensure equipment supports the design intent.

You will support ISO compliance, conduct audits, calibrate gauges, and manage documentation to meet customer and company requirements. Strong leadership and measurement skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience leading and developing a small team.
• Knowledge of Root Cause Corrective Action procedures.
• Knowledge of welding and fabrication helpful.
• Knowledge of Polyworks Software, Blueprint reading, and general CMM principles.
• Knowledge of ISO reporting requirements.
• Knowledge of gauge calibration principles and expectations.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and the ability to learn other computer software applications as needed in the auditing process.

Responsibilities

• Assign tasks and responsibilities to the Quality Technicians on daily functions.
• Maintain the development skills matrix and work with the Quality Manager on employee development plans.
• Participate in design / development reviews for new products to ensure that proper equipment is available to meet the design intent.
• Perform audits on select completed items; verify that the product matches what is called out in the prints and on customer orders.
• Upon audit completion, report any detected errors to a supervisor or lead man for correction prior to shipment.
• Notify purchasing department when an NMR is needed for any purchased item that is found to be out of specification.
• Perform follow-up audits on items or projects that were found to have been out of specification and have been corrected.
• Manage the gauge calibration system. Ensure that gauges are being calibrated as prescribed.
• Perform calibration tests on all measuring devices located in the plant and record results for future review.
• Perform pressure test on welded vessels.
• Other duties as may be assigned.

Hours: 5am – 3:30pm Monday through Thursday, some overtime on Fridays

Wage: $28.50 to $32.50 per hour

Job Purpose:

Lead and develop Quality Technicians through task coordination, training, and skills matrix management.

Maintain and improve quality systems by updating documentation, supporting tooling needs, and driving continuous improvement.

Ensure quality and compliance standards through audit support, ISO compliance, and adherence to customer and company requirements.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:
