Qualifications

• Strong blueprint reading and measurement tools knowledge.
• Advanced GD&T expertise; CMM experience preferred.
• ASQ Certified Quality Technician preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead PPAP documentation and perform FAI with supervision.
• Validate release criteria and sign off on final inspections.

We are seeking a dedicated Quality Technician III to join our team.

In this vital role, you will be responsible for lead advanced inspections, program and operate Coordinate Measuring Machines and resolve complex measurement issues. This role oversees key quality activities including PPAP documentation, calibration schedules, MRB participation, and mentoring junior technician while serving as a technical expert for audits, corrective actions and final product release criteria

Shift Available:

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and program Coordinate Measuring Machine and application of complex Geometric Dimensions and Tolerance. Solve advanced inspection or measurement issues in receiving, final inspection, or product release stages.
• Coordinate and/or lead preparation of key Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) documents for new or critical components. Perform final or complex First Article Inspections (FAI) with minimal supervision.
• Validate product release criteria (batch records, device history records) and authorized to sign off on final inspection. Serve as primary contact for last-minute issues discovered during final inspections
• Oversee calibration schedule for higher-complexity gauges; ensure traceability to standards. Troubleshoot calibration discrepancies and collaborate with external calibration service providers.
• Oversee dispositions (rework, scrap, return-to-vendor) to ensure timely resolution and accurate documentation.
• Lead or heavily participate in audits (internal/external), Corrective Action and Preventive Action (CAPA), and improvement projects related to inspection, calibration, and PPAP readiness.
• Mentor and training quality technicians one and two in best practices, advanced measurement techniques, PPAP processes, and problem-solving tools.

Qualifications

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience and Training:

• 3-5+ Years of experience in Quality role-ideally with sheet metal fabrication or CNC
• Blueprint reading and measurement tools required
• Advanced-level Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Coordinate Measuring Machine experience
• American Society of Quality Certified Quality Technician Certification preferred

Physical and Mental Demands:

• Regularly required to read, measure, use computer and do math
• Must be able to read blueprints and measurements equipment
