Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated in Leeds, AL is seeking a Quality Technician to support three foundries in our metallurgical lab. You will perform sample testing, record metal chemistries, conduct sand tests and other metrology duties as required, and maintain accurate documentation.

Daily tasks include preparing metal samples for metallographic analysis, using spectrometers and calibrated measurement devices, and drafting data reports with attention to detail.

Qualifications

  • Understanding of advanced mathematical concepts.
  • Experience drafting reports and collecting data.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret technical information.

Our Connectors operation in Leeds, AL is looking for a Quality Technician that wants to grow with us as we continue to grow! In this role you will be responsible for day to day operations in the metallurgical lab in support of three foundries. Duties to include, sample testing and recording of metal chemistries, sand testing and other metrology duties as required.

  • Receive and prepare metal samples for metallographic analysis on the spectrometer
  • Collection of sand test as well as completing necessary testing and record keeping
  • Use of calibrated measurement devices, both manual and automated.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Other duties as assigned by management

  • High School Diploma
  • Relevant Quality Certification preferred
  • Prior experience as a Quality Technician preferred
  • Understanding of advanced mathematical concepts (required)
