Job summary

Caterpillar North Little Rock, AR is seeking a Quality Technician II on the 1st shift to perform quality inspections on Motor Grader, Medium Wheel Loaders and DV components, applying drawings and standards to judge conformance. Emphasis on assembly and paint process inspection with day-one benefits and a quarterly bonus. The role runs Monday–Friday, 7 a.m.–3 p.m.

Overtime may be available. Candidates should have 1+ year in quality inspection or related manufacturing and familiarity with SAP-ME,

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience in quality inspection, welding & fabrication, machining, assembly, paint, or logistics.
• Experience reading engineering drawings and GD&T is desirable.
• Proficiency with SAP-ME, AQE, and Excel is highly desirable.
• Teamcenter and CAD model viewing is desirable.
• Familiarity with RCCA or 8D problem resolution is desirable.

As a Quality Technician II 1st shift earning $21.75 an hour you will perform quality inspection of Motor Grader, Medium Wheel Loaders, and DV components and DV machines. Emphasis is on assembly and paint process inspection. Apply Caterpillar engineering drawings, specifications, and standards to judge conformance of NLR products. Basic Qualifications

• At least one year of experience is required in one of the following areas: Quality Inspection, Welding and Fabrication, Machining, Assembly, Paint, or Logistics.
• Top Candidates will also have Additional work experience, particularly in a manufacturing quality role, is highly desirable.
• Experience reading engineering drawings and Cat 1E specifications is highly desirable.
• Understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerance is also desirable.
• Computer literacy with proficiency in SAP-ME, AQE, and Microsoft Excel is highly desirable.
• Ability to use Teamcenter software to open and view CAD models of Prime Product and assemblies is highly desirable.
• Experience using online Caterpillar drawings (in EPIX or PRWB) and 1E Specifications (in REDI) also highly desirable.
• Experience in use of manual measurement devices (calipers, gauges, micrometers, and etc) highly desirable.
• Understanding and experience with the root cause and corrective action (RCCA) or 8D issue resolution process is highly desirable.
• Strong communication skills and a demonstrated ability to build positive working relationships with coworkers and customers.

Shift: 1st Shift - Full Time

Hours: M-F, 7 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Summary Pay Range
