Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in North Little Rock, AR is seeking a Quality Technician II on 1st shift to inspect Motor Grader, Medium Wheel Loaders, and DV components. You will apply Caterpillar drawings and standards to judge conformance and support assembly and paint processes.

The role emphasizes accuracy, teamwork, and problem solving, with day-one benefits and a quarterly bonus program. Hours are 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., M-F, with possible overtime and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience in Quality Inspection, Welding and Fabrication, Machining, Assembly, Paint, or Logistics.
• Experience reading engineering drawings and Cat 1E specifications; GD&T knowledge is desirable.
• Proficiency with SAP-ME, AQE, and Excel; Teamcenter for CAD models is desirable.

As a Quality Technician II 1st shift earning $21.75 an hour you will perform quality inspection of Motor Grader, Medium Wheel Loaders, and DV components and DV machines. Emphasis is on assembly and paint process inspection. Apply Caterpillar engineering drawings, specifications, and standards to judge conformance of NLR products.

Basic Qualifications

• At least one year of experience is required in one of the following areas: Quality Inspection, Welding and Fabrication, Machining, Assembly, Paint, or Logistics.

Top Candidates will also have

• Additional work experience, particularly in a manufacturing quality role, is highly desirable.
• Experience reading engineering drawings and Cat 1E specifications is highly desirable. Understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerance is also desirable.
• Computer literacy with proficiency in SAP-ME, AQE, and Microsoft Excel is highly desirable.
• Ability to use Teamcenter software to open and view CAD models of Prime Product and assemblies is highly desirable. Experience using online Caterpillar drawings (in EPIX or PRWB) and 1E Specifications (in REDI) also highly desirable.
• Experience in use of manual measurement devices (calipers, gauges, micrometers, and etc) highly desirable.
• Understanding and experience with the root cause and corrective action (RCCA) or 8D issue resolution process is highly desirable.
• Strong communication skills and a demonstrated ability to build positive working relationships with coworkers and customers.

Summary Pay Range
