Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is seeking a Quality Technician II in Indianapolis to ensure products meet quality standards and to support re-packing, labeling, and return-to-inventory processes. The role emphasizes audits, inspections, and adherence to QA policies within a fast-paced warehouse environment.

The ideal candidate has experience in quality assurance, familiarity with WMS systems, and the ability to work onsite with solid documentation practices.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Forklift operator certificate or completion within 30 days of employment.
• Associate degree or equivalent in related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality audits, inspections and documentation.
• Perform daily quality assurance activities as required or directed by management.
• Monitor and report level of QMS implementation, compliance and effectiveness through audits and metrics.
• Support QA training for new and existing associates.
• Support coordination of QA licenses, permits and registrations.
• Collaborate with QA, Ops Performance and Process Improvement teams to progress quality initiatives.

Position: Quality Technician II

Shift: First

Pay: $20.50

In addition to the general job description below, the ideal candidate will also possess the following skills and/or experience:

Supply Chain, Quality Control, Auditing, Product Compliance, Returns, Packaging, Material or product inspection.

A minimum of (6) six month's experience in the following:

-Accurately receiving returned products or goods and inspecting products for any damages or defects

-Auditing product and packaging/labeling to maintain highest level of product complaince and accuracy

-Ensure the returned product meets quality standards to customer specifications or other requirements to include re-packing, packaging, and labeling product to return to inventory for re-sale

-Experience in using a commercial WMS (warehouse management system) such as Blue Yonder, Red Prairie, JDA,SAP, etc.

Role Purpose:

Execute assigned tasks to support establishment, maintenance, alignment and continual improvement of the QA System. Responsible for day-to-day Quality Assurance activities to ensure compliance with governmental regulations, customer requirements, quality assurance policies and procedures and accommodating requests for support.

Key Accountabilities:

• Perform Quality audits, inspections and documentation.
• Perform daily quality assurance activities as required or directed by management.
• Monitor and report level of QMS implementation, compliance and effectiveness through audit activities, observation, review of quality metrics and customer feedback.
• Support QA training for new and existing associates.
• Support coordination of QA license, permit and registration activities.
• Work with Quality Assurance, Ops Performance and Process Improvement teams to progress Quality initiatives.

Required Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Forklift operator certificate or satisfactory completion of forklift training program with the first 30 days of employment
• Associate degree or equivalent in related field of study, preferred
