Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is hiring a Quality Tech to oversee QA processes in our facility. You will lead quality checks for inbound and outbound products, ensure labels and packaging meet specifications, and support continuous improvement of the QA system.

The role requires at least 1 year in quality or product inspection, with forklift certification and MS Office skills. On-site work with a focus on safety and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of experience in quality control, auditing or product inspection.
• Forklift certificate or completion of forklift training within 30 days of employment.
• Excel proficiency and MS Office experience required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate checking, inspecting and counting of all products for inbound and outbound departments.
• Audit product and packaging/labeling to maintain product compliance and accuracy.
• Verify quantity, quality, labeling and shipping addresses match customer specs.
• Generate package labels, maintain QA documentation and records.
• Support QA team in daily quality assurance activities.

Ensure accurate checking, inspecting and/or counting of all products for both inbound and outbound departments and ensuring all product is free of damage or defect.

Position: Quality Tech
Shift: Monday - Thursday 4pm to 2am
Pay: $22.00 hourly plus .75 cents shift differential

In addition to the general job description below, the ideal candidate will also possess the following skills and/or experience:

Quality Control, Auditing, Product Compliance, Material or Product Inspection

A minimum of one (1) years’ experience in the following:

• Ensure accurate checking, inspecting and/or counting of all products for both inbound and outbound departments and ensuring all product is free of damage or defect.
• Auditing product and packaging/labeling to maintain highest level of product compliance and accuracy
• Ensure the quantity, quality, labeling, and shipping address of orders correspond to customer specifications or other requirements.
• Experience generating package labels
• Microsoft Office software, including Excel.

Job requires going up and down stairs consistantly throughought the shift

Role Purpose

Provide leadership, training, support and disciplines for establishment, maintenance, alignment and continual improvement of the QA System. Responsible for day-to-day Quality Assurance activities to ensure compliance with governmental regulations, customer requirements, quality assurance policies and procedures and accommodating requests for support. Leads QA team. Assigns QA team work schedules, directs team, trains associates in required QA processes and monitor’s associates’ compliance and progress.

Key Accountabilities

• Monitor and report level of QMS implementation, compliance and effectiveness through audit activities, observation, review of quality metrics and customer feedback.
• Facilitate QA training for new and existing associates.
• Review documents and instruction prepared by members of the work group for accuracy and legibility.
• Work with Quality Assurance, Ops Performance and Process Improvement teams to progress Quality initiatives. Incorporate QA, OP and PIM tools and methodologies, as appropriate, in performance of tasks.
• Recommends appropriate methods for supporting the site operations’ requirements for quality assurance compliance.
• Lead/support coordination of QA license, permit and registration activities and provide direction for compliance with FDA, DEA, ATF, State and other similar regulatory requirements.
• Perform daily quality assurance activities as required or directed by management.
• Lead and facilitate development of QMS documentation.

Required Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Forklift operator certificate or satisfactory completion of a forklift-training program within the first 30 days of employment
• Associate degree or equivalent in related field of study, preferred
