Job summary

Maker's Pride is seeking a Quality Technician to ensure food safety and regulatory compliance on the California production floor. The role focuses on maintaining the Quality Monitoring Scheme and supporting GMP, HACCP, and allergen programs.

You will perform hourly quality checks, document discrepancies, and assist in audits and product trials while keeping thorough records and maintaining a clean, compliant work area.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3 months of experience as a Quality Assurance Technician.
• Must have good attention to detail and spot defects on fast-moving lines.
• Able to understand machinery operation related to product quality.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• English proficiency; bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.
• MS Office experience (Outlook, Excel); SAP a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality checks on production lines hourly; may oversee 3 lines at once.
• Report discrepancies to Supervisor or Quality Manager (HACCP, Allergen, Sanitation, GMP findings).
• Ensure products meet legal and customer requirements per Bluebook.
• Complete daily paperwork accurately.
• Maintain 5-S cleanliness and organized work areas.
• Keep confidentiality of operations data and samples.
• Maintain instrumentation and store samples properly.
• Follow Hold Procedures for non-conforming materials.
• Perform HACCP and Preventive Controls checks as needed.
• Assist in tests and new product trials as required.
• Conduct audits as directed by supervisor.
