Job summary

Carus is seeking a Quality Technician I in LaSalle, IL to uphold our high quality standards and exceed customer expectations. You will work under the Quality Supervisor and own testing of materials and products while supporting plant trials and process improvements.

Responsibilities include qualifying raw materials, tracking results, and maintaining quality records. You should have chemistry education and bench experience, be comfortable in a manufacturing setting, and be prepared for rotating

Qualifications

• An associate degree in chemistry or related field with five or more years of bench experience.
• Alternatively, a bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related science.
• Experience with wet chemistry analysis.
• Experience with problem solving and root cause analysis.
• Attention to detail, time management, and statistics basics.
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment.
• Willingness to work rotating weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Leverage analytical skills to qualify raw materials and test in-process and finished products.
• Notify operations of non-conforming material or product results and assist troubleshooting.
• Support R&D, process development, and operations during plant trials and projects.
• Maintain and update records and databases including production inventory and quality reports.
