Job summary

Jabil is seeking a Quality Technician I to support manufacturing quality by inspecting products, processes, and documentation while ensuring adherence to standards. You will help identify and report quality issues and assist in corrective actions to improve processes.

The role requires attention to detail, basic inspection skills, and the ability to read blueprints. You will work closely with production and engineering in a fast-paced environment and contribute to a culture of quality.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-2 years in a manufacturing quality assurance or quality control role preferred.
• Basic understanding of quality control principles and inspection techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
• Proficient in using standard measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills.
• Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products according to specifications, blueprints, and quality plans.
• Utilize measurement tools and equipment such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and optical comparators.
• Document inspection results accurately and promptly, including non-conformances, and maintain detailed quality records.
• Assist in the identification, segregation, and disposition of non-conforming materials.
• Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action activities for quality issues.
• Conduct first article inspections and provide feedback to production on quality trends.
• Participate in internal audits and support external audits as required.
• Ensure compliance with Jabil’s quality management system (QMS) and relevant industry standards.
• Communicate effectively with production, engineering, and other departments regarding quality matters.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and adhere to all safety procedures.
