Job summary

Butcher Power Products seeks a Quality Technician – Assembly to perform final electrical and mechanical testing on completed switchgear and related assemblies. You will verify hi-pot, insulation resistance, breaker trip, and control wiring; conduct visual inspections; document results; and support NCRs and QA records.

Collaboration with manufacturing and engineering is essential to ensure ship-ready quality.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; experience in a manufacturing or quality inspection environment preferred.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions.
Experience using measurement and inspection tools; basic math and record-keeping.
Strong attention to detail and ability to communicate findings clearly.

Responsibilities

Execute final electrical testing per procedures, including hi-pot, insulation resistance, breaker trip, and wiring checks.
Perform final visual and mechanical inspection of assemblies against BOM and torque specs.
Support QC Inspector with in-process inspection and NCR documentation when needed.
Record results accurately and maintain test records per document control requirements.
Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams to resolve issues.
