Job summary

nVent is seeking a Quality Technician at our Distribution Center in Dayton, MN. The role performs inspections, audits, and quality checks to ensure shipments meet standards, collaborating with Distribution and Logistics to prevent issues and drive improvements.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 1+ year in quality or related operations, and the ability to obtain a stand-up forklift license within two weeks. Strong attention to detail and data entry skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with quality measurement tools desired.
• 1+ year of experience in quality, warehousing, distribution, or manufacturing required.
• Ability to obtain stand-up forklift license required within 2 weeks upon starting, prior forklift experience desired.
• Strong attention to detail and basic math/measurement skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast paced environment.
• Comfortable using computer programs to enter and review data.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
• Ability to follow established quality systems, procedures, and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform inbound and outbound inspections and freight audits
• Monitor quality performance across receiving, warehousing, and shipping processes
• Collect and enter quality data; support routine KPI reporting
• Assist with containment activities and corrective actions
