Job summary

Magna International, Cosma Group, Birmingham, AL, seeks a Casting Quality Technician to audit cast parts and processes, determine release readiness, and support customer quality requirements. You will perform system and process audits, manage documentation, and uphold safety and quality across manufacturing operations.

Ideal candidates have QA auditing experience, knowledge of GD&T and SPC, and strong skills with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience as a QA Auditor preferred.
• Proven track record in cosmetic, functional testing and dimensional inspections.
• Proficiency with GD&T, SPC and quality systems.

• Perform quality system audits and material certifications.
• Audit X-Ray, porosity and wall thickness processes.

The Quality Technician will give K3 Casting team/lines approval or not to proceed with production, support plant needs as necessary. The Quality Technician is responsible for their safety and well-being as well as quality, part audits, system audits, customer cost, productivity, and ergo.
