Job summary

Textron Aviation seeks a Quality Technician to support Able Aerospace Services in Mesa, AZ. You will inspect parts, read blueprints and engineering drawings, and help ensure conformance to specifications and processes.

Responsibilities include completing inspection paperwork, supporting engineering changes, and communicating with the FAA and customers as needed. A high school diploma and basic math skills are required; 0–6 months quality/inspection experience preferred.

Qualifications

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Bronze level WorkKeys certification is required or preferred for this role.
  • Experience in quality inspection is preferred but not required (0–6 months).

  • Works from blueprints and interprets engineering requirements and verifications.
  • Inspects parts for appearance, function, tolerances and specifications.
  • Completes and maintains diverse inspection paperwork.
  • Interprets and implements new model engineering changes with feedback to Engineering.
  • Proficient in standard business applications as required for the work area.
  • Communicates with the FAA or other external auditors and customers.
  • Possesses certifications/qualifications appropriate to the assigned area.

Job Summary

Responsible for developing processes and changes that result in creating a quality conscious environment which shows a reduction of defects. Subject matter expert in the area of quality assurance. May lead and direct other team members toward achieving a quality focused environment.

Job Responsibilities
  • Works from blueprints, interprets engineering requirements and Configuration verifications.
  • Knowledgeable of specification, Quality procedures and F/T requirements appropriate to the area of assignment.
  • Inspects parts and ensures acceptable appearance, function, tolerances, dimensions and specifications.
  • Completes and maintains a variety of inspection paperwork.
  • Able to interpret and conform new model engineering change with feedback to Engineering.
  • Proficient in business applications as required for the area of work assigned.
  • Communicates with the FAA or other external auditors and customers.
  • Possess certification/qualifications appropriate to assigned area.
Education
  • Must have a high school diploma, an equivalent certificate, or a bronze level WorkKeys certification and the use of drawings, specifications, basic math and technical knowledge.
Experience
  • 0-6 months quality, inspecting, or technical maintenance experience required. Possesses a solid grasp of the technical skills necessary to perform the job and be willing to work in all areas of support.
