Job summary

A leading aerospace company in Providence, RI is seeking a Quality Technician to ensure compliance with quality standards through various audits and inspections. Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a quality function role in the Aerospace industry and ideally possess an Associate’s degree in a related technical field. Quality Technician

The Quality Technician participates in modification of the Quality system and is responsible for the auditing and inspection of its systems for compliance to standards.

What you’ll be doing as a Quality Technician
  • Plans and conducts in-process product and process control inspections
  • Plans and conducts final product acceptance testing
  • Plans and conducts FOD audits and inspections
  • Plans and conducts incoming raw material audits and inspections
  • Plans and conducts Document Control Audits
  • Plans and conducts Corrective Action Verification audits and inspections
  • Plans and conducts Tool Calibration and Validation audits and inspections
  • Participates in Safety Inspections and Audits
  • Assists in Quality Training
  • Maintains Quality System’s KPI
Skills You Bring to This Role
  • Good critical thinking skills
  • ASQ Certification (CQE/CQA/CQM) preferred
What You Need to be Successful
  • At least 3 years of experience in a quality function role in the Aerospace industry with an Associate’s degree in a related technical field such as Engineering or Physical Sciences required. In lieu of an Associate’s degree, at least 5 years of experience in a quality function role in the Aerospace industry with a High School Diploma (GED) will be considered. Bachelor’s degree in related technical field preferred.
  • Experience working in AS9100 and ISO9000 quality systems
  • Experience with editing procedures and SOP’s
