Job summary

Barchemy LLC – Quality Technician position at a confectionary plant. You will monitor critical quality attributes of finished products and ingredients, record results, and report findings per the Quality Systems Manual.

The role requires 2–3 years in a food QA setting, a BS in Food Science or related field, and HACCP/HARPC familiarity. We offer an above-industry wage and a benefits package.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years laboratory/quality assurance in a food manufacturing environment.
• Must hold a BS in Food Science, Nutrition or similar.
• Basic computer skills, preferably Microsoft Office.
• HACCP and HARPC knowledge preferred.
• Organized, detail oriented, able to handle repetitive tasks quickly and accurately.
• Self-motivated and self-managed.

Responsibilities

• Follow Standard Operation Procedure and samples raw ingredient and finish product.
• Maintain Quality Assurance Manual.
• Document results and pertinent observations after each analysis, score session or inspection.
• Retrieve and send samples as directed for analytical and microbiological testing.
• Ensure plant cleanliness and compliance with use of allergen testing swabs, environmental and ATP swabs.
• Isolate and place nonconforming products or ingredients on hold and document hold by entering data on Hold Log and circulating information to Operations and Quality.
• Responsible for food safety and quality.
