Job summary

Kautex is seeking a Quality Technician for the 3rd shift to assure product quality from development through serial production. You will perform tactile and optical measurements, support audits and sampling, and maintain 6S in the quality areas.

Ideal candidates have a technical apprenticeship, 2+ years in plastics or automotive supply, and experience with CMM, Microtomes, and GD&T. Proficiency in English and MS Office is required.

Qualifications

  • Technical apprenticeship with advanced training preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years work experience in plastic and automotive supplier industry is required.
  • Knowledge in measurement devices, CMM, Microtome machine, Microscopes. GD&T and RPS alignment and drawing is a plus
  • Basic knowledge in CAD is a plus
  • Knowledge in customer specific quality requirements is a plus
  • Knowledge of product and measuring test equipment and techniques
  • Knowledge of plastics manufacturing processes
  • Able to perform a Measurement System Analysis (MSA)
  • Green Belt certification is a plus
  • English language skills require
  • Microsoft office skills required (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint)

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all measurement tasks to assure product quality during the development phase and serial production
  • Stop processes and escalate in all cases of non-conformities to quality (STOP-AT-DEFECT)
  • Support product audits
  • Tactile measurements with CMM
  • Optical measurements with Microtomes optical device
  • Set up and analyze reports and storage and preservation of them
  • Support sampling process
  • Support first part inspection in serial production
  • Improve measurement processes
  • Support customer initial sampling process
  • Maintain 6S in all quality areas at all times
  • Ensure setup in production keeps quality
  • Perform Drop, Burst, and all testing agreed with customer to ensure mechanical strength of the product
  • Support Quality supervisor in Laboratory needs
