Job summary

D&H Industries in Wisconsin is seeking a Quality Technician to ensure parts meet customer requirements at each stage of manufacturing. The role collaborates with manufacturing, engineering and QA to define and document test requirements and drive continuous improvement.

You'll perform inspections, PPAP, FMEA, and control plans, conduct root cause analysis, and support supplier quality. The schedule is 2nd shift, with weekly pay and a strong emphasis on safety, training, and career

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a technical field preferred.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• One year experience in quality/CMM programming preferred.
• Excellent math and analytical skills.
• Blueprint reading skills.
• PPAP knowledge preferred but not required.
• PFMEA knowledge preferred but not required.
• CWI within one year of start date preferred, costs paid by the company.

Responsibilities

• Work with manufacturing, engineering and QA to define and document product test requirements.
• Develop test requirements to analyze business, customer needs and issues through inspection.
• Assist in continuous testing to detect issues and ensure requirements are met before production release (PPAP, FMEA, control plans).
• Identify issues and work to resolve problems.
• Conduct first piece, in-process and final inspections; perform supplier initial inspection and disposition nonconforming product.
• Handle raw materials and finished goods.
• Be proficient with inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, plug and height gauges) and stay current on products and processes.

Description

The Quality Technician ensures that products are meeting customer requirements at each stage of the manufacturing process. The Quality Engineer performs quality audits, inspects parts, conducts analysis, reports findings, and assists with root cause analysis.

This is a 2nd Shift schedule.

The What

What will you be doing?

• Work closely with manufacturing, engineering and quality assurance staff to develop, define and document product test requirements.
• Develop test requirements to ensure business requirements, customer requirements, and potential known or unknown issues will be analyzed through the inspection process.
• Assist in continuous testing to detect issues and ensure requirements are met prior to production release. Utilize production part approval process (PPAP), failure mode effects analysis (FMEA), control plans, etc.
• Identify issues and work to resolve issues/problems.
• Work closely with manufacturing to conduct first piece, in-process and final inspection standards defined by customer, blueprint and/or control plan. Conduct supplier initial inspection and nonconforming product disposition. If needed, establish and/or perform repair and rework activities.
• Raw material and finished goods handling.
• Utilize in-depth knowledge of the inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, plug and height gauges) and remain current on the products, tools and processes utilized in the quality assurance process.
