Job description

Velosity Brooklyn Park is seeking a Quality Technician to support our manufacturing facility in Brooklyn Park, MN on 1st shift. The Quality Technician is responsible for understanding, communicating, and verifying conformance to internal and external quality standards.

This is an on-site position.

Shift: 2nd Shift, Monday - Friday, 3pm - 11pm.

Pay Range: $22.00-$34.46/hour, plus a 5% quarterly bonus.

This pay range reflects the base hourly rate or salary, depending on skills, experience, education, and market conditions. Offers are typically within this range.

Essential Duties:

  • Collaborate with team members
  • Program and operate CMM
  • Perform inspections at various stages
  • Develop and adapt inspection tools
  • Investigate quality issues and assist with corrective actions
  • Manage nonconforming products and calibration system

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Legal work authorization in the U.S.
  • Preferred 3 years manufacturing quality experience, including 1 year of CMM programming
  • Strong communication, Microsoft Office skills, and understanding of manufacturing processes
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, measurement tools, blueprint reading, and tolerancing

Physical & Mental Demands:

  • Standing, walking, kneeling, bending, reaching, pulling, twisting, turning, seeing, hearing
  • Lift up to 30 pounds

The physical and mental requirements are necessary for successful performance in this role.

Work Environment:

Non-smoking manufacturing facility with typical industry exposures such as noise, dust, and chemicals. PPE and safety protocols are required.
