Job summary

Peninsula Plastics is seeking a Quality Technician for the 1st shift in Auburn Hills, MI. You will inspect and test parts to ensure they meet customer specifications, document results in MES, and collaborate with QA and production teams to drive quality.

Overtime Fridays and starting pay of $19 per hour are specified. The role requires meticulous attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in quality assurance, quality control, or manufacturing inspection.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Basic computer proficiency and accurate documentation of inspection results.
• Familiarity with manufacturing equipment and measuring tools.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and test components to meet customer specs and quality standards.
• Assist QA and Production teams in identifying and resolving quality issues.
• Inspect and validate incoming parts and materials from suppliers.
• Use measuring tools to verify dimensions and quality.
• Interpret tolerances and apply GD&T knowledge.
• Document inspection results using MES.
• Identify and communicate defects or quality concerns to teams.
• Support continuous improvement to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Follow safety procedures and keep work area clean.
