Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is seeking safety-oriented individuals to join our team as a Quality Technician in Jonestown, PA. You will verify material specs, monitor quality, and communicate findings with the Operations, R&D, and GP Leaders to ensure high-quality products.

These developmental positions offer growth within the facility and across Georgia-Pacific. Expect 12-hour rotating shifts with day and night coverage and potential performance-based bonuses.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and management.
• Rotating 12-hour shifts with a 7-day break in a 28-day period.

Responsibilities

• Verify materials are in SPEC for all jobs per quality supervisor instructions.
• Perform and maintain department quality per SOPs.
• Stay updated on quality procedures, specs, sampling frequency.
• Monitor packaging for defects and report non-conformances.
• Print labels for materials on hold as needed.
• Assist with hand packing during automation downtime.
• Maintain open dialogue with supervision to minimize delays.
• Pass information between shifts to ensure continuity.
• Maintain a clean work environment and adherence to SOPs.
• Verify processes by performing internal audits.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities.
• Complete required training on time and use Teams for communication.
