Job summary

Johns Manville in Macon, Georgia is seeking a Quality Technician who will support JM core values and deliver the JM experience by performing QA tests on finished goods and in-process materials.

This role requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working a rotating 12- or 8-hour shift with occasional Saturdays. Candidates should have manufacturing QA experience, strong math, and proficiency with Microsoft Office to complete reports and data analysis.

Qualifications

• Quality assurance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong math skills.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office.
• Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
• General knowledge of computers and software.

Responsibilities

• Collect samples and perform QA tests on finished and incoming goods according to test methods and specs.
• Make dispositions on materials and participate in writing work instructions and continuous improvement.
• Complete required quality reporting and perform data analysis.
• Assist other departments and perform related tasks as needed.
• Ensure quality performance on designated work shifts.
