Job summary

Applied Composites is seeking an entry-level Quality Technician for the 3rd shift in the Indianapolis area. The role focuses on preparation and bonding of composite test coupons to support aerospace and space-based structures.

Responsibilities include inspection, machining test coupons, fixture setup, and precise measurement with calipers and micrometers. Attendance on 3rd shift and overtime as needed is expected.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education/work experience.
• 0–2 years of relevant experience requested.
• Ability to learn and follow step-by-step instructions.
• Ability to take precise measurements using calipers, micrometer.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine visual inspection of soldered connections and mechanical assemblies.
• Prepare and bond test coupons; machine and fixture preparation.
• Machining composite test coupons and using bandsaws, grinders.
• Take dimensional measurements and record test results precisely.
• Operate tension/compression test machines and support static loads.
• Work third shift and overtime as needed.

Applied Composites (AC) is seeking a Quality Inspector 1 -3rd Shift who will be responsible for focusing primarily on preparation and bond work of test coupons. This position is responsible for preparation and testing of composite test specimens to support the manufacture of aerospace and space-based composite structures.
