Job summary

APPLIED COMPOSITES INC is hiring a CMM Programmer on 2nd shift to inspect components using CMS, mathematics and electronics. You will adapt procedures to achieve accurate measurements and maintain calibration standards in a dimensional, optical, and environmental testing environment.

The role requires 3 years of inspection experience in a regulated setting and a BSCS/BSQA or HS diploma with 4 years of relevant experience. Strong attention to detail and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

  • Requires BSCS or BSQA degree or HS Diploma/GED with 4 years relevant experience.
  • 3 years' experience performing inspection in a quality-regulated environment or similar setting.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • CMM experience, operating and programming.

Salary Range: $29.00 To $35.00 Annually

Applied Composites (AC) is seeking a CMM Programmer2nd Shift who applies knowledge of measurement and program coordinate measurement systems (CMS), utilizing mathematics, and electronics to inspect, CMM measurement and test equipment in the electrical, dimensional, optical, physical, mechanical, environmental, and/or software disciplines to ensure measurement accuracy. Identify and utilize appropriate measurement procedures. Perform corrective actions to address identified measurement problems. Adapt equipment, standards, and procedures to accomplish unique measurements. Maintain calibration standards, Scale Bars and Artifacts. Perform departmental housekeeping to assure neatness and a professional environment.

Job Accountabilities

  • Maintain documentation and records, electronic /or hard-copy format, as objective evidence for quality system audits
  • Have knowledge of Customer Digital Product Definition (DPD) process and procedural requirements
  • Have knowledge of AS9100 Quality Management System
  • Other responsibilities as assigned
Job Specifications

Education: Requires a BSCS or BSQA degree or a High School Diploma/GED, plus four (4) years relevant experience and appropriate certifications may be substituted for meeting educational requirements only

Years’ Experience: Requires three (3)years’ experience performing inspection within a Qualitycertification organization orotherregulated environment

Skills
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Knowledge of tool calibration and tracking of tools
  • CMM experience, operating, and programming
  • Able to work accurately in a fast-paced, hectic, ever-changing environment with strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to monitor own work to ensure quality, accuracy, and thoroughness.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and time-management skills
  • Able to self-motivate and work both independently and as part of a team
  • Statistical Process Control desirable
  • Advanced knowledge of inspection/metrology
  • Contribute towards continuous improvement with regards to Quality, efficiency, and customer-focused results
  • 20/20 vision required with or without corrective lenses
  • Manual dexterity to handle tools and equipment of different sizes
  • Proficient in the use of hand measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, etc.
  • Willingness and ability to embrace new inspection tools and methodology
  • Ability to multi-task, perform efficiently, and independently
