Eastridge Workforce Solutions has an opening for a Quality Control Technician in New Berlin, WI. The role supports daily QA operations in a fast-paced food production environment, ensuring products meet internal and customer specifications and food safety standards.

This is a direct-hire, full-time position with day shift responsibilities. The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of QA or related experience, knowledge of GMPs, sanitation, and safety programs, and strong documentation and communication

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree or coursework in food science, biology, chemistry, QA, or related field preferred.
• 1–3 years of quality control, lab, food or regulated manufacturing experience preferred.
• Understanding of GMPs, sanitation, and food safety programs.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents, work instructions, specs, and quality standards.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality inspections and standardized testing on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
• Conduct sensory evaluations, including flavor, appearance, texture, color, and consistency assessments as required.
• Collect retention, microbiological, environmental, and production samples according to procedures.
• Prepare laboratory documentation and sample submissions for outside testing facilities.
• Verify product labels and packaging prior to production runs for compliance.
• Monitor metal detection equipment and report any concerns.
• Place materials or finished products on quality hold when necessary and assist investigations and corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate quality documentation, production records, and testing results.
• Ensure GMPs, sanitation, food safety standards, and quality programs are followed.
• Analyze quality data to identify trends and support continuous improvement.
• Participate on cross-functional teams to improve processes and product quality.
• Perform additional QA responsibilities as assigned.

The hourly rate for this position is expected to be between $22.00 - $28.00 per hour, depending on geographic location, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree or coursework in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, Quality Assurance, or a related field preferred.
• One to three years of quality control, laboratory, food manufacturing, or regulated manufacturing experience preferred.
• Understanding of food safety programs, GMPs, sanitation procedures, and quality systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents, work instructions, specifications, and quality standards.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

Preferred:

• Experience working within a food manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of HACCP, SQF, GFSI, or similar food safety programs.
• Laboratory testing or microbiological sampling experience.
• Continuous improvement or root cause analysis experience.
