Actalent seeks a Quality Technician in Vandalia, OH to support QA activities for medical devices, tissue-based products, biologics, and labeling materials. You will ensure documentation integrity, participate in inspections, and help maintain cGMP and GDP standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
The role requires a high school diploma with GMP/GDP experience; a Bachelor's in Life Sciences is preferred.
The Quality Technician supports quality assurance activities for manufacturing and distribution processes, ensuring that non-conforming materials and products are identified, controlled, and managed in accordance with the Quality System. This role follows all policies and procedures to maintain compliance with FDA, AATB, OSHA, ISO, and related regulatory standards. The Quality Technician works under limited supervision, handling a range of products including medical devices, sterile processed human tissue-based products, biologics, unprocessed human tissue, component supplies, and labeling materials.
This role is primarily desk‑based with regular documentation and system work, complemented by hands‑on inspection duties. The Quality Technician will occasionally enter clean rooms and laboratory environments and should be comfortable working around human tissue and tissue‑based products. The position operates on a third‑shift schedule, Monday through Friday from approximately 11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. (Sunday night through Friday morning), with some flexibility required. The work takes place in a modern, state‑of‑the‑art facility that supports a rapidly growing operation, offering exposure to advanced quality systems, cleanroom practices, and regulated manufacturing and distribution processes. Appropriate attire and adherence to cleanroom and laboratory gowning requirements are expected when entering controlled environments.
This is a Contract position based out of Vandalia, OH.
The pay range for this position is $24.50 - $24.50/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job‑related factors.
