Day Shift - 6:00AM to 4:30PM

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE: This position assists the Warranty Manager in managing the Quality In-process and Final Inspection/Testing program. The role involves planning, executing, and monitoring quality assurance/quality control projects, leading rework investigations, and supporting continuous process improvement. The employee provides technical support related to product quality, process controls, equipment support, and tooling development, ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and cost metrics are met.

  • Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and formulas to determine quality and reliability standards.
  • Develop and update quality check sheets; document and communicate quality results and deviations.
  • Participate in the SWAT process; update management on quality tasks; document findings in CAPA database.
  • Apply quality tools and troubleshooting strategies to resolve issues.
  • Implement and monitor process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
  • Conduct on-site audits, inspections, and testing validation to ensure compliance with SOPs.
  • Train and develop team skills; collaborate with customers and suppliers on quality issues.
  • Develop and track metrics to meet goals.
  • Establish communication channels with customers and oversee quality integration into project management.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of CAPAs and ECRs for preventive actions.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Test products at various production stages for quality indicators.
  • Create and update SOPs for quality procedures.

WHAT THIS ROLE NEEDS:

Communication Skills: Comfortable interacting across all levels, including presenting in group settings.

Computer Skills: Basic Windows and MS Office; proficiency in Excel, CAD, CMM is a plus.

Education: Knowledge of quality systems, MIG welding, fabrication, Lean, GD&T, and SPC fundamentals.

Experience: 5+ years in Quality Control/Assurance, with 3+ years in welding industry preferred.

Qualifications: Ability to implement programs using project tools, positive attitude, solution-oriented mindset.

Mathematical Skills: Proficiency in basic math, ratios, percentages, and data interpretation.

Reasoning: Mechanical aptitude, decision-making confidence, detail orientation, leadership, and change management skills.

Technical Skills: Ability to read engineering prints, experience with fixtures, machine tools, and fabrication equipment.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Lift/push up to 50 lbs.
  • Bending, lifting, standing.
  • Exposure to noise, welding, and grinding smoke at times.
