Job summary

Carnegie Robotics is seeking a Quality Technician to support our enterprise-wide Quality Management System in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The role focuses on inspections, FAIs, audits, and data-driven improvements.

Ideal candidates bring a two-year technical degree and two years of manufacturing experience, with proficiency in precision instrumentation, ESD, and ISO practices. Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

  • Two year technical degree is required.
  • Two years experience in a fast paced manufacturing setting.
  • Experience with precisions instrumentation and complex electromechanical systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Comfort in a fast-changing, cross-functional team environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to lift more than 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Performing sample inspections and measurements of incoming parts.
  • Processing non-confirming materials for testing or disposition.
  • Performing First Article Inspections (FAIs) of new parts and/or parts from new suppliers.
  • Completing internal audits and associated documentation.
  • Interpreting engineering prints and schematics.
  • Supporting safety and quality initiatives such as 5S, ESD, FOD, and ISO.
  • Assisting in the Material Review Board process.
  • Maintaining information systems.
  • Preparing reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data; making recommendations.
  • Reviewing, analyzing, and reporting on quality discrepancies and Carnegie Robotics quality goals.
