Job summary

A leading supplier in automotive components is seeking a motivated Quality Manager to help launch a manufacturing facility in Salem, Virginia. The role includes ensuring quality standards during manufacturing and completing various inspections and tests. Candidates should possess advanced problem-solving and organizational skills, along with some manufacturing quality experience. Responsibilities

  • Complete Receiving Inspection per Work Instructions.
  • Test realization of pellet specific gravity.
  • Test realization of Melt flow rate.
  • Prepare material test reports.
  • Assure the Check Fixture usage.
  • Provide maintenance to Check fixture devices.
  • Perform Scrap Entry-Reporting.
  • Complete testing per Work Instructions.
  • Complete forms, recording, evaluating and reporting quality and reliability data.
  • Assist in training new operators to WI’s and customer specification requirements.
  • Adhere to ISO 14001 requirements.
  • Adhere to ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 requirements.
  • Adhere to Customer Specific requirements.
  • Execution of layered process audits.

Job description

STS Group is a globally leading supplier of components and systems for the commercial vehicle and automotive industries headquartered in France. The Adler Pelzer Group, a global Tier 1 supplier recently acquired STS group to expand its target market. STS is pioneering operations of Class A surface components for the heavy trucks in the USA. We are seeking a motivated and committed Quality Manager to help launch a manufacturing facility in Salem, Virginia. The Quality Manager ensures quality standards are met during the manufacturing process.

Major duties and responsibilities of the Quality Technician:

  • Complete Receiving Inspection per Work Instructions.
  • Test realization of pellet specific gravity.
  • Test realization of Melt flow rate.
  • Prepare material test reports.
  • Assure the Check Fixture usage.
  • Provide maintenance to Check fixture devices.
  • Perform Scrap Entry-Reporting.
  • Complete testing per Work Instructions.
  • Complete forms, recording, evaluating and reporting quality and reliability data.
  • Assist in training new operators to WI’s and customer specification requirements.
  • Overtime is sometimes required which may include weekends.
  • Adhere to ISO 14001 requirements.
  • Adhere to ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 requirements.
  • Adhere to Customer Specific requirements.
  • Execution of layered process audits.

Other duties are assigned as necessary to support team goals.

Education can be substituted with equivalent experience. Licenses & Certifications are preferred but not required.

Education & Experience
