Job summary

Altium Packaging in Mount Airy, NC is seeking a Quality Technician to audit, test and measure finished goods, ensuring adherence to GMP and customer standards. You will apply statistical tools, perform laboratory testing, and collect samples at regular intervals to drive process improvements.

You will inspect molding, packaging, and loading processes, conduct incoming material checks, maintain calibration of metrology equipment, and report quality issues to shift leaders.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; 1 year related experience.
• ASQ certification or equivalent preferred.
• Knowledge of basic statistics and GMP in manufacturing.
• Ability to use statistical tools and measurements to monitor processes.

Responsibilities

• Audit finished goods to ensure compliance with GMP and customer standards.
• Apply statistical tools to monitor plant performance and quality.
• Complete laboratory testing and collect samples at set intervals.
• Inspect molding, packaging and loading processes for compliance.
• Perform incoming material inspections and report nonconformities.
• Coordinate cycle counts and inventory of finished goods as needed.
• Communicate quality issues to shift leaders and management.

Airy (United States of America)The Quality Technician will audit, test and measure finished goods to ensure customer standards are met as well as follow our company's Good Manufacturing Practices.JOB SUMMARY:The Quality Technician will audit, test and measure finished goods to ensure customer standards are met as well as follow our company's Good Manufacturing Practices.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Ensure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards and with applicable laws and regulations issued by regulatory agencies.Apply statistical tools and techniques to monitor plant performance and finished goods.Complete laboratory testing and collect samples at established intervals.Continually seek process improvements and make recommendations to management.Audit compliance with GMP policies.Performs process inspections during molding, packaging and loading.Audit for compliance to control plan requirements including process parameters.Perform incoming inspection of raw materials.Complete dimensional checks and report on product.Perform in-process inspections of manufactured product during molding, packaging and loading.Perform cycle counts and/or inventory of finished goods as required.Communicate quality issues and out of specifications conditions to appropriate personnel and with shift leaders.Other duties as assigned by management.Reasonable mandatory overtime may be required due to business needs.Qualifications:The requirements listed below are minimum requirements for the job.
