Job summary

Accelera in Monroe, NC is seeking a self-driven quality control professional to join our lab team. You will evaluate raw components, perform visual inspections, and operate lab equipment to support manufacturing quality.

The role requires attention to detail, independence, and basic Excel skills; you must be able to lift up to 20 pounds and work with a forklift as needed. This is a day shift, Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are a well-established Union County organization with three decades of industry experience, currently looking for a self-driven professional to join our team. Success in this position relies on your ability to work autonomously while maintaining high standards of accuracy and utilizing foundational Excel capabilities.

Compensation and Schedule

This role is based in Monroe, NC, with a pay rate of $19 per hour. The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 6:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Core Duties

• Evaluate and verify raw components to ensure quality standards are met prior to the manufacturing process.


• Conduct visual checks on incoming supplies and final products to verify proper labeling, packaging, and the absence of contaminants.


• Support the team by utilizing specialized equipment to perform essential material assessments, including melt flow, bulk density, compression, and extruder strip bend testing.


• Monitor daily output from production lines to ensure finished goods meet quality requirements.


• Manage the operation of the lab extruder and prepare necessary specimens for analysis.


• Help maintain a safe and functional workspace by cleaning, calibrating, and servicing laboratory instrumentation.


• Organize and store samples while keeping accurate records of inventory and testing outcomes.


• Oversee all quality-related paperwork for both raw materials and completed products.


• Identify, label, and isolate non-conforming materials while generating formal rejection documentation.


• Utilize a forklift to transport materials throughout the facility.


• Extract pellet samples to perform accurate weighing and testing procedures.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Candidates must demonstrate a keen eye for detail, the capacity to function independently, and a working knowledge of Excel.
