Job summary

Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East in Monroe, NC is seeking a Quality Inspector to join a small, long‑standing operation. The role emphasizes attention to detail, independent work, and basic Excel skills, with a starting pay of $19/hour.

You will inspect raw materials, perform tests and keep accurate records, lift up to 20 lbs, operate a forklift occasionally, and maintain lab equipment. Monday–Friday 6:00am–2:00pm in Union County.

Qualifications

• Requires strong eye for detail and ability to work independently.
• Basic proficiency in Excel required.
• Willingness to lift up to 20 lbs and operate a forklift as needed.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and test raw materials to identify quality issues before they enter production.
• Perform visual inspections for labels, packaging, and contaminants on incoming materials and finished products.
• Assist in testing materials using equipment for tests such as extruder strip bend, melt flow, bulk density and compression tests.
• Inspect finished goods daily from production lines.
• Operate lab extruder and prepare samples for testing.
• Maintain, calibrate, and clean lab equipment and the quality lab area.
• Track and store samples, and maintain inventory and test results.
• Manage documentation related to raw materials and finished goods quality.
• Quarantine and label rejected materials and issue rejection reports.
• Operate a forklift to move material
• Pull pellets out to weigh and test
