Job summary

VEGA Americas, Inc. in Mason, Ohio, is seeking a Quality Technician to perform calibration on precision tools and maintain quality documentation, while supporting the Quality Department with administrative tasks.

The role includes calibrating torque drivers, wrenches, micrometers, and calipers, coordinating external calibration, and ensuring certificates and records meet customer and internal standards. ISO 9001 experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and at least two years of calibration experience.
• OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with ISO 9001 or other quality management systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-house calibration of torque drivers, wrenches, micrometers, calipers, and other precision tools.
• Coordinate and assist external calibration services for equipment that cannot be calibrated internally.
• Maintain accurate calibration records and certificates.
• Manage order-specific certificates and ensure timely delivery to customers.
• Assist with internal quality audits and support first article inspections and other QA activities.
• Support document control, admin tasks, and quality system maintenance.
• Communicate with internal teams and suppliers to resolve quality documentation or calibration issues.
• Ensure compliance with ISO standards and customer requirements.
• Handle additional administrative tasks as required.

The Quality Technician is responsible for performing calibration on precision tools and equipment, maintaining accurate quality records, and supporting the Quality Department with administrative and compliance-related tasks. This role ensures all equipment and documentation meet internal standards and customer requirements.

What You’ll Do

• Perform in-house calibration of torque drivers, wrenches, micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring tools.
• Coordinate and assist external calibration services for equipment that cannot be calibrated internally.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date calibration records and certificates.
• Manage and document order-specific certificates required by customers, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
• Assist with internal quality audits and support first article inspections and other quality assurance activities.
• Support the Quality Department with document control, administrative tasks, and quality system maintenance.
• Communicate with internal teams and external suppliers to resolve quality-related documentation or calibration issues.
• Ensure compliance with ISO standards and other regulatory or customer-specific requirements.
• Manage and document order-specific certificates as required by our customers.
• Support the Quality Department by performing other administrative tasks, including audits, first article inspections, etc.
• Additional responsibilities as assigned
