Job summary

VEGA Americas is seeking a Quality Technician to perform calibration on precision tools and maintain quality records. You will coordinate internal and external calibration, assist audits, and support documentation and quality system tasks.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED plus two years of calibration experience, with ISO 9001 knowledge considered a plus. We value accuracy, regulatory compliance, and teamwork within the Quality Department.

  • Assist with audits and first article inspections within the quality department.
  • Support document control and quality system maintenance.

Job description

The Quality Technician is responsible for performing calibration on precision tools and equipment, maintaining accurate quality records, and supporting the Quality Department with administrative and compliance-related tasks. This role ensures all equipment and documentation meet internal standards and customer requirements.

What you’ll do:
  • Perform in-house calibration of torque drivers, wrenches, micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring tools.
  • Coordinate and assist external calibration services for equipment that cannot be calibrated internally.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date calibration records and certificates.
  • Manage and document order-specific certificates required by customers, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Assist with internal quality audits and support first article inspections and other quality assurance activities.
  • Support the Quality Department with document control, administrative tasks, and quality system maintenance.
  • Communicate with internal teams and external suppliers to resolve quality-related documentation or calibration issues.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO standards and other regulatory or customer-specific requirements.
  • Manage and document order-specific certificates as required by our customers.
  • Support the Quality Department by performing other administrative tasks, including audits, first article inspections, etc.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned
What you need:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • AND two years related experience in calibration
  • OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with ISO 9001 or other quality management systems a plus
