Job Overview

A Quality Technician I is responsible for identifying and implementing systematic solutions to quality issues and enforcing the highest standards of quality management. The technician will own the development and adherence to the Quality Management System in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 and lead problem-solving efforts with internal and external processes.

Shift

1st shift (Monday - Friday, 6am - 2:30pm)

Job Functions

1. Identify and solve quality problems in assigned production or manufacturing areas using analytical thinking and available resources.
2. Ensure the quality of completed assemblies, manufactured parts, and supplied parts.
3. Monitor quality KPIs and promote improvements.
4. Lead problem-solving initiatives focusing on sustainable solutions.
5. Collaborate with team members across departments and external organizations.
6. Manage change points with suppliers, manufacturing, and design teams.
7. Develop and improve quality standard work procedures.
8. Ensure compliance with quality system standards and improvements.

Qualifications and Skills

• Associate's Degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical field, or 2+ years of relevant experience; minimum High School or GED.
• Experience in manufacturing/assembly environments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience in project management and quality engineering/control.
• Knowledge of Toyota Quality Systems (QIMS, SQAM).
• Ability to analyze data and prioritize causes for corrective actions.
• Experience working with suppliers and vendors.
• ISO 9001:2015 experience.
• Level II Quality Tech training and self-sufficiency in quality inspection areas.
