Job summary

Giga Energy Inc. is seeking a Quality Technician in Long Beach, CA to ensure the accuracy and quality of materials moving through our facility. You’ll inspect components against tight tolerances, log shipments, and ensure on-time delivery while maintaining detailed documentation.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, a sense of urgency, and collaboration with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Finance to support rapid product readiness and shipment accuracy.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in quality control, inspection, or shipping & receiving in manufacturing
• Experience with ERP or inventory management systems
• Know-how with calipers, gauges, torque verification equipment
• Strong documentation skills with attention to detail
• Knowledge of freight processes, BOLs, carrier coordination
• Experience in energy, electrical, or industrial product manufacturing
• Familiarity with hazmat or international shipping requirements
• Experience with NCR processes and quality management systems
• Prior experience in a high-growth startup or fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming materials and subassemblies against PO, drawings, and specs
• Perform outgoing quality checks on finished products before shipment
• Receive, log, and stage inbound shipments in ERP systems
• Coordinate outbound shipments including freight scheduling and packing
• Identify, tag and quarantine non-conforming materials and document NCRs
• Communicate discrepancies to procurement, engineering, and operations
• Maintain accurate inventory records and support cycle counts
• Support internal audits and quality documentation efforts

What you’ll do

As our Quality Technician, you will be the critical link between our supply chain, manufacturing floor, and the customers we serve. You will own the accuracy and quality of everything moving in and out of our facility — from inspecting incoming components against tight tolerances to ensuring finished energy systems ship on time, fully documented, and built to spec. In a company moving this fast, your attention to detail and sense of urgency are what keep us on schedule.

Where you’ll work

This role will be based in our Long Beach, CA facility. You must be willing to work in the office full-time.

We're onsite because velocity matters when you're building physical infrastructure. Solving complex problems in real-time with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Finance leaders is how we move faster than a slow, antiquated industry.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming materials, components, and subassemblies against purchase orders, drawings, and quality specifications
• Perform outgoing quality checks on finished products prior to shipment, verifying documentation, labeling, and packing requirements are complete and accurate
• Accurately receive, log, and stage inbound shipments in ERP/inventory management systems
• Coordinate and process outbound shipments including freight scheduling, packaging, and carrier management
• Identify, tag, and quarantine non-conforming materials and initiate NCR documentation as required
• Communicate material discrepancies or quality issues to procurement, engineering, and operations teams in real time
• Maintain accurate inventory records and support cycle count processes
• Support internal audits and quality documentation efforts

Requirements

Pay Transparency

The range provided below is the role’s Base Salary range. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Giga and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience and qualifications. Additional benefits include 401(k) plan plus subsidized medical, dental, and vision benefits.

Base Pay Range

$28 - $38 USD
