Job summary

Schneider Electric Lincoln NE manufacturing plant is seeking a Quality Technician to support the Quality System and drive improvements to products and processes. You will work with Production, Supply Chain, Manufacturing Engineering, and Design teams to analyze quality issues and implement effective solutions.

The role includes training development, supplier quality support, PFMEA participation, and continuous improvement leadership.

Qualifications

• Requires an associates degree in manufacturing engineering, or related field; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience with 6 Sigma concepts is preferred and certifications are an advantage.
• Proficient in structured problem-solving (5-Why, Fishbone, 8D).
• Experience with quality inspection, auditing and test is required.
• Knowledge of corrective action programs and quality assurance concepts.

Responsibilities

• Document control and quality system management.
• Support internal QMS audits.
• Develop and deliver training documents and methods.
• Toll gate inspection for materials shipped to sister plants.
• Incoming inspection support for vendor changes and quality issues.
• Line audit support and contribute to PFMEA teams.
• Support in-house product testing requirements and 8D initiatives.
• Lead/participate in continuous improvement activities.

Job description

The Lincoln NE manufacturing plant has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Technician! As a Quality Technician you will play a key role in supporting Schneider Electric's Quality System and driving improvements to products and processes. This position will include a high level of interaction with other teams such as Production, Supply Chain, Manufacturing Engineering, and Design / Continuous Engineering. It is expected that problem analysis and troubleshooting of Quality issues will take a significant portion of your time in this position.

1st Shift: 6:30AM - 2:51PM

What will you do?

• Document Control – and Quality System ManagementIntegrated ISO
• Management System Audit support
• Development and delivery of training documents and methods
• Toll gate inspection for materials being shipped to sister plants
• Incoming inspection support. This would be for vendor changes, quality issues with current vendors, initial shipments from new vendors.
• Line audit support
• Perform FAIRs and LAIRs as needed to support new vendors or product lines
• Support in-house product testing requirements
• Participate on PFMEA teams
• PPEP support
• Participate / Lead 8D initiatives and continuous improvement activities
• Participate in Board of Change Activities

What qualifications will make you successful?

• You hold an Associates Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Business Administration, Electrical/Electromechanical, Computer Technology, Precision Machining/Automation, Non-Destructive Testing, or equivalent isrequired - Bachelor Degree Preferred
• You have working knowledge of 6 Sigma concepts and methodologies is preferred
• Certifications an advantage including Quality Auditor, Quality Engineer, Quality Improvement Associate, Six Sigma
• You are proficient in structured problem-solving methods (5-Why, Fishbone, 8D)
• You have experience with quality inspection, auditing and test experience
• You have experience with implementation of corrective action programs
• You have product or industry-specific experience
• You have strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and Databases
• You have knowledge of tools, concepts and methodologies of Quality Assurance

Salary Range: $54,400K - $81,600K / Year.
