Job summary

Ball Aerospace in Golden, CO is seeking a Quality Technician to join our QA team in a high-volume, 24/7 manufacturing environment. You will inspect in-process or finished products against internal specs and inform production of any deviations, supporting continuous improvement.

The role requires a high school diploma, 1+ year in production or manufacturing, and proficiency with Excel/Word/Outlook. On-site work with 4-on/4-off rotating days, safety-first culture, and strong attention to detail

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a production/manufacturing role.
• Experience maintaining production or quality control equipment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to review graphs and trends.
• Must be able to match colors.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with all levels of personnel.

Responsibilities

• Follow all job safety practices and policies including foodsafety and PPE.
• Perform troubleshooting and preventative maintenance on inspection equipment as needed.
• Routinely use measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.
• Advise production when inspection results do not meet customer specifications.
• Maintain a safe and clean workspace according to 5S standards.
• Build positive relationships across the designated team through collaboration and ethical integrity.

PositionOverview:

AsaQuality Technician,you will be amember of theQuality AssuranceTeam, reporting toa QualitySupervisor(or Managerdepending on plant).Youwillcontribute to the success of Ball byinspectingin-process or finished products for quality;based onBall internalspecifications andwilladviseproduction on results.

The Golden plant is high-volume, fast-paced 24/7-365 days/year manufacturing environment. Our crews work 4 on 4 off, rotating days to nights every 32 days.

KeyResponsibilitiesInclude:

• Follow all job safety practices and policies including but not limitedto:foodsafety; personalprotective equipment;emergency procedures, etc.

• Performtroubleshooting and preventative maintenance on inspection equipment, as needed.

• Routinely use measuring tools(such as:calliper gauges,micrometres).

• Adviseproduction when inspection results do not meet customer specifications.

RequiredExperience andSkills:

• High School Diploma or education equivalentrequired.

• Minimum one (1)year of experience in a production/manufacturing role.

• Experiencemaintainingproduction or quality control equipment.

• Proficiencywith computer applications (such as: Microsoft: Excel, Word, Outlook)

• Strong attention to detail andexperience reviewing and understanding graphs and trends.

• Must be able to matchcolors.

• Demonstrated ability toprovideclear and concise communication (verbal and written) in arespectfulmanner to all levels of personnel.

PreferredExperience andSkills:

• 1+ years ofexperience as aQuality Technician in a manufacturing environment.

• Experience working with depth gauges, dial callipers, and/or automated gauges.

PhysicalEnvironment & Working Conditions:

• May be subject toall of the following, but not limited to:

• Hot/Cold working conditions.

• Loud /Noisy environment.

• Standing and walking for prolonged periods of time.

• Climbing (stairs, and other equipment as necessary).

Compensation & Benefits:

• Expected Hiring Salary Range:$32.40/hr

• This role will be eligible to participate in the annual incentive compensation plan.

• Onsite Work Environment:This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site. Travel and local commute between Ball locations and other possible non-Ball locations may be required.
