Job summary

Phoenix Stamping Group, LLC is seeking a Quality Technician to ensure consistent product quality through process validation and ongoing improvements. You will perform incoming and in-process inspections, maintain quality records, and support ISO/QMS compliance in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities include data collection for customer submissions, RCCA actions, and participation in floor audits and waste walks, leveraging lean tools to drive quality improvements and prevent

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required with manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Strong blueprint reading and use of measuring tools essential.
  • Knowledge of lean problem-solving tools (A3, RCCA, 8D) and metrology.
  • Able to generate SOPs, work instructions, and reports clearly.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in project meetings and provide quality updates.
  • Perform incoming and in-process inspections and maintain QA documents.
  • Support ISO compliance and QMS maintenance.
  • Audit processes, validate samples, and prepare customer data.
  • Lead floor audits, RCCA actions, and waste walks.

We are seeking dynamic candidates who enjoy a fast-paced and team oriented work environment supported by a company with the motto \"Customers first, employees always!\"Job Description2nd Shift Hours: 2:30PM - 11:00PMTitle: Quality TechnicianReports to: VP of Quality and SafetyJob Purpose: Assures consistent quality for our customers through the validation of manufacturing processes and standards as well as continuous improvement.Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:MANUFACTURING SUPPORTParticipate in project status meetings and provide quality-related updatesParticipate in up-front product, tooling and process development- focusing on quality requirementsUpdate, and maintain quality documentsMaintain quality metric/performance dataDIMENSIONAL CONTROL AND MEASUREMENT SYSTEMSParticipate in quality control fixture/gage design, qualification and maintenanceMaintain measurement equipment, certifications, and calibrationsSupport ISO compliance and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS)PART AND COMPONENT INSPECTIONSPerform incoming and in-process inspections of internal and external parts and/or componentsParticipate in the processing of non-conforming material/productMaintain Quality related part and process documentationAs required, validate initial production samples and prepare data for customer submissionMonitor/assess part/process capability.CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT INITIATIVESReact to customer complaints and ensure that corrective actions are effective and properly executedParticipate in initiatives such as Root Cause & Corrective Action (RCCA), SD, A3 activities to sustain continuous improvement throughout the organizationFLOOR AUDITS AND WASTE WALKSAudit process documentation and identify performance gapsDocument audit activities ensuring compliance with QMS requirementsAudit manufacturing processes and standards for:- SafetyProcess controlWastePart qualityQualificationsHigh school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experiencePrevious experience in a manufacturing environment preferredThorough knowledge of blueprint reading and ability to use measuring tools and test equipmentUnderstanding and interpretation of Quality tools including but not limited to SPC, Gage R & R, and metrology toolsKnowledge of lean problem-solving tools and techniques such as A3, 8D, and Root Cause & Corrective Action (RCCA)Thorough knowledge of what makes up a working quality management system.
