Job summary

Mubea is seeking a Quality Technician to tests and inspects products across production stages, compiling statistical data to maintain quality and reliability.

Responsibilities include data entry, documentation of quality processes, and supporting supplier and customer claim investigations. Requires ISO/TS:16949:2009 exposure, visual inspection skills, and MS Office proficiency.

Qualifications

  • 2-year college or university program certificate; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience or training in ISO/TS:16949:2009, Lockout & Tagout, and Basic Plant Safety. Machine operations in industrial manufacturing quality.
  • Must have visual inspection experience. Able to run controlled experiments under direction of engineering/manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of Spreadsheet software and MS Office platforms (Excel, Word, Email).
  • ASQ CQT certification is desired with the provided training if needed.

Job description

Tests and inspects products at various stages of production process and compiles and evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products by performing the following duties

Essential Functions :
  • Prepares graphs or charts of data or enters data into computer for analysis.
  • Documents and modifies basic quality processes and procedures; support basic supplier and customer claim investigation and corrective action; data collection, auditing, and reporting.
  • Assists with disposition and documentation of Internal, customer, and supplier material timely and in the most cost-effective method.
  • Measures production components/equipment assists in Root Cause and report shift observations and results.
  • Supports production with containment and identification needs.
  • Selects products for testing at specified stages in production process, and tests products for variety of qualities such as dimensions, performance, and mechanical characteristics.
  • Records test data, applying statistical quality control procedures.
  • Evaluates data and writes reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.
  • Confirms correct gages and calibration meet Mubea standards.
  • Sets up and performs destructive and nondestructive tests on materials, parts, or products to measure performance, life, or material characteristics.
  • Must have knowledge of proper use of standard measurement tools and metric system.(micrometers, calipers, etc)
  • Must be able perform programming and operate spring testers, hardness testers, and fatigue testing equipment.
  • Performs part layouts reports according to internal and drawing specifications.
  • Perform in-process audits and transfer materials as necessary in material planning system.
  • Work with operators on print interpretations and use of gauging.
  • Assist in training of operators to specific processing work instructions.
  • Ability to thrive in multiple fast-paced, high stress manufacturing environments.
  • Perform other duties as requested or required by management.
  • Interprets engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, blueprints, or formulas and confers with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards.
Required Education & Experience:
  • 2- year college or university program certificate; or two to four years related experienceand/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience or Training in ISO/TS:16949:2009, Lockout & Tagout, and Basic Plant SafetyMachine operations must have experience in industrial manufacturing quality principles.
  • Must have visual inspection experience. Able to run controlled experiments underdirection of engineering/manufacturing.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Spreadsheetsoftware, and MS Office platforms, (excel, word, email, etc)
  • ASQ CQT certification is desired with the provided training if needed.
Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Experience in automotive manufacturing and /or engineering and sales driven business.
  • Experience working in a Germany based (international) organization.
