Job summary

Ball Corporation is seeking a Quality Technician to join the Quality Assurance Team at the Fairfield plant. You will inspect in-process or finished products and advise production based on Ball specifications.

The role operates in a high-volume, 24/7 environment with 12 1/4-hour shifts and a day/night rotation every 7 weeks. Required: HS diploma, 1+ year in manufacturing, equipment maintenance, proficiency in Excel/Office, strong detail orientation, and clear communication.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or education equivalent required.
• Minimum one (1) year of experience in a production/manufacturing role.
• Experience maintaining production or quality control equipment.
• Proficiency with computer applications (such as Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Strong attention to detail and experience reviewing and understanding graphs and trends.
• Must be able to match colors.
• Demonstrated ability to provide clear and concise communication (verbal and written) in a respectful manner to all levels of personnel.

Responsibilities

• Follow all job safety practices and policies including but not limited to: food safety; personal protective equipment; emergency procedures, etc.
• Perform troubleshooting and preventative maintenance on inspection equipment, as needed.
• Routinely use measuring tools (such as: caliper gauges, micrometers).
• Advise production when inspection results do not meet customer specifications.
• Maintain a safe and clean workspace according to 5S standards.
• Build positive relationships across designated team by effectively collaborating, communicating, and upholding ethical integrity.

PositionOverview:

As a Quality Technician, you will be a member of the Quality Assurance Team, reporting to a Quality Supervisor (or Manager—depending on plant). You will contribute to the success of Ball by inspecting in-process or finished products for quality; based on Ball internal specifications and will advise production on results.

The Fairfiled plant is a high-volume, fast-paced 24/7-365 days/year manufacturing environment. Our crews work 12 1/4 -hour shifts (6am-6pm / 6pm-6am) working 4 days on 4 days off and rotating from day to night shift every 7 weeks.

KeyResponsibilitiesInclude:

• Expected Hiring Salary Range:$32.40/hr
• This role will be eligible to participate in the annual incentive compensation plan.
