Job summary

EmergencyMD is hiring a Quality Technician in Elgin, Illinois to support the Quality Assurance Department. The role entails creating quality documentation and coordinating measuring devices for calibration.

Quality Technician

Dynacast, LLC, a Form Technologies Company, is a leading global manufacturer of small engineered precision components utilizing proprietary multi-slide die casting technology and tooling techniques. We currently have an opening for a Quality Technician in our Quality Assurance Department on 1st shift. If you are ready to take on a new challenge, we want to meet you.

Pay

Pay: $48,000-$60,000 per year; based on experience.

Responsibilities

Supports the Quality Assurance department with the creation and modification of quality documentation:

• Work instructions (general quality)
• Documentation pertaining to APQP/PPAP
• Change Requests

Supports the Quality Assurance department by knowing and understanding the requirements of its customers—internal and external.

Supports the coordination of measuring & testing devices & equipment for calibration.

Assists with ordering & monitoring the required lab supplies pertaining to the calibration & verification process (e.g.; measuring & testing devices, replacement components, etc.).

Additional responsibilities and projects may be assigned by the Quality Assurance Manager.

Qualifications and Experience

Qualified candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED and have experience with Microsoft Office, including intermediate level use of Excel. Preferred candidates should be able to multi-task, work independently, and collaborate with a team.

Manufacturing experience, a working knowledge of inspection methods, training with IATF, ISO Quality Standards, Core Tools Training (APQP, PPAP, Control Plan, FMEA, SPC) and bilingual speakers (English and Spanish) are all a plus.
